The Courier-Journal Newspaper

Web Design, Production & Consulting

Since 1996 we have worked with the Courier-Journal, designing the home page and many section designs, layouts and templates. These have included the first Derby feature, Louisville Scene, Gizmo column, Connect to the Courier, Newspaper in Education and the kids column "For Your Info".

In 2000, the paper needed a global template for dynamic content to give the site a more uniform look and consistent navigation. It had to accommodate partner content, full banner ads and smaller ads. We provided design assistance on masthead production, development of an 'unbreakable' template, and stylesheets.

Louisville Scene

Custom icon artwork and web design: The original site features a split color home page with space for advertising and colorful fun icons all over. The current site still uses the theme established.
